Damn..a year already

Ok, here is the short verison of what has happend in the last year...I left the Sheriffs Office, and joined the Rigby City Police Department.  Lynne has gone to school and graduated and is now working and kicking some serious ass doing hair at Mia Bella Hair Salon.  There was just an election for Sheriff and it was pretty close.  Jeff Poole almost knocked Sheriff Blair Olsen out of office.

Lynne went out and got knocked up by someone again.  I wish she would stop doing things like that...lol. Tori and Riley are getting bigger each and every day...

So that is the very very short story of the last year!!

I will try and keep up on this blog of mine more and keep it going in case someone someday would like to read it.  I will get pictures up as well soon. With that said....I'm out!!

Friday the 13th

Ok, I know I just posted about me getting the promotion, but when I seen the date on that post I noticed today was Friday the 13th!! I have a hard time remembering what day of the week it is.  All I know is that I work 4 days at the Sheriffs Office, then 4 days at job #2.  Thats all I can ever remember is seems like...So cut me some slack people!!
Now, for my Friday the 13th post...I would like to ask all of you a serious question...In honor of this great day, I would like to bring up some scary people, and I ask you this...who is the worst of them all?  Lets review just a few shall we....

First up when have Freddy Kruger...the dream killer!! A very bad bad man.  After being burnt alive, he made a deal with the devil himself to allow him to continue killing kids in their dreams, and we all know what happens if they die in their dreams...the die in real life.  Fred has the power to control a lot of things...after all, once you fall asleep..your in his world now.  So remember the song...1,2 Freddy's coming for you...3,4 better lock your door. 5,6 grab a crucifix. 7,8 better stay up late. 9,10 Never sleep again!!!
Secondly, we have Jason Voorhees.  One of the masked Killers.  He is a special kind of guy, (yes I mean a window licker) He was made fun of a lot at summer camp which made things go from bad to worse.  Next thing he knows he is drowing in the lake and nobody was there to save him.  So, like anyone else, of course he is pissed about that now.  So what does he do?...you guessed it, kills everyone he sees....not a very happy guy is he?  Big jerk...and what does it take to kill this guy?  If you figure it out, tell the big chested girl that is running around topless how to do it....and stop inviting him in to take a shower with you...come on people.  Hell, your so easy to kill I could strangle you with a cordless phone.
Third, we have Mike Myers. Now can somebody please tell me what the heck this guys problem is.  We know he has something for his sister, I mean come on, he is always after her.  And whats the deal with the mask?  Jason's mask is cool, it has a purpose at least, his is just weird...maybe that is why he is in such a bad mood all the time, Jason got the good mask.  Well, guess what Mike, you should have been in line sooner at the mask picking party, then maybe you would have a better one!! Anyways, dont go to his house, he doesn't like visitors.

Fourth we have The Predator.  Who provoked this guy?  He first shows up in the jungle and starts to kill of a team of soldiers.  Maybe they got in the way of his game hunting?  I dont know.  Then he decides to go to L.A. and pick on a cop who is only trying to do his job.  At least while he was there he helped out by killing off some of the scum of L.A.  I wonder if he at least got a chance to see some movie stars while he was there.  Maybe took a stoll around town and did some shopping.  All I can say is this guy is big a mean as well, and dont try and kiss him, take one look at his mouth and you will know what I am talking about....Just plain nasty!!
Fifth we have the alien.  Kills for no other reason then just to do it.  Acid for blood, 2 mouths both with sharp enough teeth to cut through steel, a long tail that is good for not only killing, but helps with poking the fire too.  And the down side to these guys...there is more then one.  Lots more.  Creppy lil buggers are all over the place.  But they do scream like a girl! (No offense ladies)  But they do.  If you happen to run into them, let me give ya some advice...RUN LIKE HELL and call Sigourney Weaver.  She knows how to handle them pretty well.  And if your lucky, she may just kiss one for ya...who knows, you may be into that kind of thing.

There you have it people, just a few that I have selected for you to pick from.  So again, in honor of Friday the 13th...who is the baddest of the bad here? Tough pick huh!!?  I know, it was hard for me to pick the worst of them all myself.  They all do what they do and do it very well.  But if you ask me, the worst out of all of them...is one that stands out from the rest....someone so scary that just the mention of his name brings shivers to your spin, makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up...I hope you all can sleep after I tell you who it is....But in my opinon, the worst of them all...is........................................................................

                                                                    THIS GUY!!!!!!!
Have a good night and try and get some sleep now if you can!!!! I know, scary huh!!

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!!!

Promotion!!

So I was in the office the other day when the Sheriff walked in and asked me how long it had been since he put me out on the West Side of the county.  I told him it has almost been 2 years.  He asked me if I felt that I should be promoted to Corporal.  I told the Sheriff that was not up to me but it was up to him to make that choice.  The Sheriff told me he felt like I should be promoted.  So, I was.
See, the West Side of the county is what is called a resident position.  Normally those that work the that area live out there.  Well, I do not live out there.  So I get to drive out there every day I work.  Its not to bad of a gig if you ask me.  The call load is lower....a lot lower, like maybe 3 of 4 calls a month, but it gives ya time to get to know the people, and make a lot of traffic stops.  I-15 also runs right threw it, so that means, a lot of dope on the street too.  Just a matter of catching the lil buggers.  I really like the West Side.  Not just because it is a Corporal position, that is just an added plus.  But because there is so much you can do out there.  Yeah, the call loads are not as high like I said earlier, but that is ok.  And yes, if you need back-up, its a long ways away, so you better know how to handle yourself a little bit.  But I like it cause it is diffrent.  A good change from what one gets use to doing all the time.
I know this post is not as "fun", I guess you can say as my others, but I just thought I would share with you the fact that I was promoted.  I'm not saying I am some kind of super cop and it's about damn time I was promoted, that is not the case at all.  I still have a lot to learn, and I am willing to try and learn more every day.  I just thought I would share a lil piece of my excitment with you guys....I know, I know...you dont care right?  I didnt force you to read this...you came to me remember!!
Anyways, have a good day or night..(whatever time it is for you) and enjoy the rest of the show!!
Peace!!

CORPORAL FISH IS BACK BABY!!!

Long time coming

So it has been a really long time since I have posted something on here, but I have a good reason for that.  Our computer crashed and then once we got it fixed, I just decided to be lazy and really to be honest...I just plain forgot about my blog.  That was until I got an F.O.P. Magazine the other day and was reading through it a little bit. I came across an article about a Police Officer that was killed in the line of duty. Inside the article was something that I wanted to share with everyone.  It was writen by Corey Williams.  I want to share it because it is the truth about Police Officers, first off, to all my fellow members of Law Enforcement who walk that Thin Blue Line day in and day out...Keep this in mind when you read this.  Secondly to anyone who wishes to challenge a Police Officer and are brave enough to go toe to toe with us....This is a warning to you!!!

"If you seek to do battle with me this day, you'll receive the best I am capable of giving. It may not be enough, but it will be everything I have to give.  You may defeat me, but you will be lucky to escape with your life.  You may kill me, but I'm willing to die if necessary.
I do not fear death for I have been close enough to it on numerous occasions that it no longer concerns me.
What I do fear is the loss of my honor, and would rather die fighting than to have it said that I was without courage."

Again, keep that in mind my brothers and sister who wear the badge.  Just remember you are not alone.  you may be the only one in the fight of your life at the time, but always know you are in our thoughts, and we have your back.  And if you do lose the fight, you will not be forgotten. And God have mercy on them that took you from us, because we will not when we find them...and remember....we WILL find them.

Just a thought....

So I was thinking one day, and maybe some of you can help answer this question for me...... What makes a Cop, a Cop?  This is something I think all of us will share similar interests, but also have a different point of view.  That is what I would like to hear from you.  So really, what makes a Cop, a Cop?  Let me share a little story with you about what made me want to do this and be a cop.   A long long time ago, I was sitting next to one of my really good buddies, (who I have not talked to in a really long time, and I need to call him. you know who you are Alan) on a school bus.  We were heading home from a day of learning.  Well, the very last thing we had that day was a Hunters Ed teacher who came in and talked to us and told all of us that wanted to go to his class on what we needed to do.  After he was done talking to us and as we were leaving for the day, he gave each of us a hunting magazine.  Nothing great, just a regular magazine.  As I was on the bus sitting next to my buddy, I was going page by page through said magazine, looking at all the cool pictures in it, and I came across a picture of a Cop.  He was standing next to his patrol car.  It was an ad for his hand gun.  Again, nothing special.  But to me, well, that was the most awesome thing I had seen.  I had seen hand guns in the movies, but nothing ever like this one.  I read what the ad said, the ad said that Law Enforcement Agencies where switching to this hand gun....I wanted that gun!!! And I knew the only way I was ever going to be able to have that gun was to become a Police Officer.  That is where the fire started to burn inside of me.

So back to my question. What makes a Cop, a Cop?  Is it the badge and gun? Is it the cool lights on top of his vehicle, or the cool uniforms?  No!!! That is my answer.  None of the above.  To me, a Cop is someone who cares.  Someone willing to go out day after day and put his life on the line for people he doesn't even know.  A Cop is someone who is willing to work the long hours for the crappy pay.  The sleepless nights because you just had to go and tell some parents that their baby boy or girl was in an accident and would not be coming home.  A cop is someone willing to put certain values to the side for the benefit of everyone else around him.  A cop is someone who is willing to have people hate him for doing what he does, and listen to them yell and curse him because they think it should be done a different way, all while not wearing his emotions on his sleeve and staying professional.  A Cop is someone who is willing to run into a gun fight, knowing that he may not walk out of it, and may never see his wife/husband and kids again.  The list goes on and on.

So to me, a Cop is not your everyday person.  Cops, (don't get me wrong here, good Cops.) are a cut above the rest.  I am not saying that Cops are better than anyone else, because they are not.  Cops have their own problems they have to deal with and their own crosses to bear.  What I am saying here, is Cops are a special type of person.  I would like to hear your thoughts on it.  What makes a Cop, a Cop to you?  I only hope that one day, somewhere along life’s little path it has planned out for me, that I too may become a Cop.  And to all of the Cops out there.  Please....stay safe, stay sharp, and God Bless all of you!!!!

New Blog

OK, so I use to have a blog and it was pretty much taken over some how by a virus.  So I thought I would give this site a try and see how well my blog does here.  So far I have only one follower and that would be my hot wife.  Which is ok by me.  I will do my best to try and keep this one updated with the things that are bursting out of my head.  So I look forward to hearing from anyone and everyone that wants to say something or follow me.  (Word of advise though, if you say something mean to me, I may say something mean back....lol)

Let the games begin!!
